• 16th: Valentine Mystery Cruise; Meet at 9am SHARP at the Chevron Station located on Highway 41 at Ave. 15 in Madera County. We will be departing shortly thereafter for an undisclosed location, to drive on undisclosed roads and eat undisclosed food. • 29th: Blackhawk Car Museum; Meet at the Pilot truck stop in Madera, on highway 99. Please arrive by 7:30am and plan for an 8am sharp departure. If you drive your classic, there will be parking available right in front of the entrance. Once there, we will have lunch and then tour the museum. Road Captain; Dan Seibert.

April

• 12th: Cruise to the restored 1934 Richfield Station in Coalinga. We will be meeting at the Denny's at Jensen and Hwy 99 at 9:00am and leaving at 9:30 sharp.  We are expecting 8 to 10 cars from the Chevy Club and hope that some of the Pontiac Club members will join us.  The more the merrier!  We are planning to go down Hwy 41 to Hwy 198 to Coalinga and arrive at the Richfield Station somewhere around 11:00.  They are supposed to have someone open up the station and museum for viewing, photos and use of the restrooms. We then plan to leave when everyone is ready and cruise over to Hanford for a stop for late lunch at Superior Dairy.  So that's the plan.  Any questions call me. • 12th: Cancelled! Cat Haven; The trip to Cat Haven has been cancelled for now. It will be rescheduled. Contact Greg Griggs for more info. Meet at the parking lot at Shields & 41 at 9am,  for a 9:30am departure. We will arrive at Cat Haven in Dunlop about 10:30am; the tour takes about an hour. There are picnic tables available if you with to bring your lunch, or you can buy lunch there. Admission is $8.50 (with discounts) for adults and $7.25 for seniors 62 and up. • 24th: Regional Convention Meeting; We have a meeting for the regional convention planned! The meeting will be at the Yosemite Falls Cafe (Ashlan & 99) on Thursday April 24 at 6:30 pm. We will meet in the same room as our regular meeting is held. We have lots to discuss, as well as introduce our new Ads & Sponsorships Chair Person; Ren Hallett! Ren has graciously taken on this job, and he is well prepared for it as it falls in line with his profession. Everyone is invited, and your presence will be greatly appreciated!!

• 26th: Central Valley Classic; We will not be holding our regular annual car show due to being the Host Club for the 2008 Western Regional Convention.  Look for it's glorious return on Saturday April 25th, 2009.

May

• 2nd-3rd: Morro Bay Weekend: We'll have another great run to the coast, fun on the beach and BBQ dinner at the beautiful Truckell home in Cayucos. We will be departing Fresno at 11am on Friday the 2nd of May from our usual spot at 41 and Shields. Host hotel is San Simeon Lodge, 9520 Castillo Drive, San Simeon. 1-866-990-8990, $75 per night with ocean view. Cruise night Friday in Morro Bay. • 18th: Daytona 500 Party:  Unconfirmed at this point; May Not Happen! Host has lost use of the projection TV that was used. I'll update if I hear more. The Daytona 500 party will be at the Portuguese hall in Easton. Take Fwy 41 South to American Ave.; turn right (West) to Elm Ave. (old Hwy 41); turn left (South) to Jefferson; turn right (West) to 172 West Jefferson. A wonderful BBQ lunch will be available for $10.00, the hall will provide a “No-Host” bar, and if you drive your “classic”, you will get up-front parking. • 24th: Special Breakfast Run! This is the special breakfast Dave Wolin has been putting together for POCC. He is trying to arrange to have a special Hollywood movie celeb present to speak to us! The run will take us to Oakhurst where we will have breakfast at The Old Kettle, in front of the Shilo Inn. Meeting details to follow. This special run is being held in conjunction with Dave's Southern Yosemite Automotive Film Festival, which runs March 21st - March 25th. • 28th: Central Valley Classic: Our annual all Pontiac/Oldsmobile/Buick/Cadillac & GMC Truck Show. It will be at Madera County Courthouse Park from 8am to 3pm.
