Pontiacs of Central California makes large donation to children's charity

Pontiacs of Central California just made their largest ever-charitable donation! The recipient of the $4,000.00 gift was California Law Enforcement’s “Wish Upon A Star”. This Valley based organization grants wishes to children with catastrophic illnesses.

Last summer the club hosted the Pontiac/Oakland Western Regional Convention at the Pines Resort at Bass Lake. Before the event, the members voted to donate 100% of the net proceeds to charity. Wish Upon A Star was selected because of what it does for special children.

The presentation was made at the club’s meeting on Monday night (February 13^th). Gina Anderson, the Special Events Coordinator for Wish Upon A Star, was present to accept the donation.

Club President Bill Richards is shown presenting Gina with the check, as 5 year old Sarah Mueller looks on. Sarah is a recovering leukemia patient and a former recipient of a wish. Sarah’s Grandfather, Madera resident Ken Mueller, told the club just how much the wish meant to Sarah, and her entire family.
