Wow! What a race! The 2016 NASCAR season opener, better known as "The Great American Race" is now in the history books. But not without supplying a great deal of excitement. The race also showed that "Pack" racing (the tight racing you see on the restrictor plate tracks of Daytona and Talladega) can be done at 200 miles an hour without the much dreaded "Big One". That's right, not one big accident during the entire 500 miles.

Along with the race, we dined on many different dishes: chicken, meat balls, chips & dips, bread bowls plus many many more! Thanks to everyone who took the time and energy to prepare a sumptuous dish to share on Race Day! And along with the good food, some lucky folks went home with some extra cash in their pocket thanks to the race pool headed up by Jeff Dipple.

Also of note, this year's 500 Party was our best attended. A total of 53 of our wonderful friends came and shared the day with us! Thanks very much to all of you.
