The Fresno Veteran's Day Parade is the largest Veteran's Day parade west of the Mississippi. Fresno launched the parade in 1919 to honor WW1 vets, and it has been running continuously since, which makes it one of the longest running parades too. The parade winds through downtown going past the reviewing stand in front of city hall, and then makes it's way in front of the Veteran's Memorial Auditorium. Along the several mile route, the sidewalks are lined with spectators, many of which are veterans themselves. For those of  you who have not driven in the parade, you're missing a great way to honor our vets, and join 1000's of people in displaying a great showing of patriotism.

I would love to have been able to stop and talk with the woman about her picture. I'm sure there is a touching story.

After the parade, we all enjoyed a great hamburger at the Triangle Drive-in.

Lori is rightly proud of her son.
