Pontiacs of Central California will be hosting the Pontiac/Oakland 2005 Western Regional Convention. This event will be held at the Pines Resort at Bass Lake. Located just a few miles from Yosemite Valley, you will be nestled in one of California's truly beautiful settings.
The convention will be a 3 day event; Friday September 30, 2005, Saturday October 1 and Sunday October 2.
Friday: Starting late afternoon/early evening, we will be offering deeply discounted trips on the Bass Lake Queen. This will be a leisurely one hour boat trip around Bass Lake, with complimentary wine and cheese. Several tours have been scheduled to accommodate all who wish to join the fun.
Saturday: you will be involved in a fully judged car show. Along with the show there will be guest speakers, music and lots of time to see old friends and meet new ones; all in the pines. Come evening, you are invited to attend the Awards Banquet. A sumptuous dinner overlooking Bass Lake, and the presentation of awards.
Sunday: There will be a buffet breakfast to attend so that you can enjoy unhurried time to say good-bys to all your friends. This breakfast will be held in the Lakeview room, so that you will still be able to enjoy the great scenery this area has to offer.
Room rates have been negotiated to extend a few days before, and after the convention. This will allow you to hang around to enjoy more of what this area has to offer, such as: Yosemite Valley, just a few miles to the north; Oakhurst, with it's antique shops is nearby, and for those that want, you can go boating, fishing or just hang out at the lake.
